USA vs Europe
Hand in hand, across the land.
Bound by history, bold and free,
Friends in fate, across the sea.
Once they stood, side by side,
Through fire and storm, a mighty tide.
Shoulder to shoulder, they fought as one,
Under banners bright in the rising sun.
Their armadas once sailed, strong and free,
Bringing hope across the sea.
Not as foes, but as friends in strife,
Defending the dream, the promise of life.
But now the winds have turned their course,
The tides of time, an unseen force.
Steel and thunder, once allied might,
Now face each other in looming fight
O, fate! O, shifting sand!
What storm now shakes this trusted hand?
Will the dawn bring war or peace?
Or shall this tempest never cease?
As we move into a new era of Geo Strategic realignment, the two friends of yesterday are at each other's throats. My short poem on the shape of things.
