13 June 24

As the sun readies itself to set on my last 13 June celebration, in uniform, of my 37-year journey in the defence forces, each step taken beyond the Antim Path feels like yesterday, yet it's a distant memory in another millennium. On 29 Dec 24, it’s gonna be farewell to arms and this wonderful uniform.

In the midst of camaraderie and the rumble of tanks, I've traversed through the trenches of time, witnessing my own evolution over time and the growth of my family and experienced many  fleeting moments that define life's essence. A complete kaleidoscope of fun, frolic, joy, madness and happiness. An absolute Wow!!!

In the battlefield of life, amidst health challenges and adversities, today I stand, alive and still running and pedalling, is a testament to God’s grace and resilience.

My family, the bastion of love and support, has been my guiding light through the darkest nights and the brightest days. Now, as a twice-grandpa, I'm humbled by the love I've received from my family all along.

Friends and colleagues who accepted me despite my shortcomings, deserve every accolade. Thank you guys. Your unwavering support has been a pillar of strength throughout this odyssey.

And amidst the thunder and dust of Tanks, my passions have been the fuel(DHPP A) igniting the flames of creativity and purpose. From  Studies Scriptures from Sikhism, Buddhism, Christianity and Vedic literature on one hand, to cycling, painting, singing, writing, coaching and photography on the other hand, each endeavour has been a canvas where I've painted the colours of my soul. Thanks for the encouragement all along.

Yet, amidst the cacophony of life, it's the stillness of meditation that has brought the most profound revelations. Through inner engineering, I've glimpsed the transcendental, a realm where miracles unfold and the mundane transcends into the mystical. The proverbial third eye blinked and many wormholes and ports opened offering passages from here to there  removing the veils of ignorance and layers of Maya. A kind of a grounding. A  Humbling  experience.

But above all, it's the life in the forces that has sculpted my character, polishing away the rough edges and moulding me into the person I am today. Surrounded by colleagues, seniors and juniors, their support has been the wind beneath my wings, propelling me towards the finish line.

To all my course-mates, friends, and cherished family members, who've stood by me through every battle and triumph, I raise a toast to life. For in its rainbow, lies the essence of our existence. Cheers to the journey, the memories, and the miracles that pave our path. Thank you.
