                    Swami Chinmayananda

is a renowned spiritual leader, philosopher, and teacher, who dedicated   his life to spreading the teachings of Advaita Vedanta, emphasizing the oneness of existence and the pursuit of self-realization. 

Born in 1916, he founded the Chinmaya Mission, a global spiritual organization that promotes Vedanta Philosophy. 

His teachings revolved around the principles of Vedanta, particularly Advaita, which emphasizes the non-dual nature of reality and the unity of the individual soul (Atman) with the supreme reality (Brahman). Swami Chinmayananda's discourses and writings have  helped thousands understand the profound truths of Vedanta and apply them in their daily lives. His books have had a very deep and profound impact on my life. 

One of his notable works is his commentary on the Ashtavakra Gita, a profound scripture that explores the nature of the self and the illusion of duality. In his commentary, Swami Chinmayananda elucidates the verses of the Ashtavakra Gita, providing insights into the path of self-realization and the transcendence of the ego. This epic dialogue between Janak and Sage Astravakra is the most lazer sharp explanation of the whole concept of "Who Am I". It's impact on my life literally opened up new vistas of understanding and realisation for me. The concept of The Witness and Drashta Bhava suddenly exploded inside of me only after numerous years of sincere reading of the Astravakra Gita. That one moment of Aha was a Wow moment. Changed the way I perceived the world. The Bi-verse has finally become a Uni-verse.

As I go through the BG Course from Chinmaya International Foundation, CIF(Centre for Sanskrit Research and Indology), I remain grateful for his contribution to mankind. 

Swami Chinmayananda's legacy continues to inspire spiritual seekers like me worldwide, as his teachings remain relevant in the quest for understanding the nature of existence and attaining inner peace. 

On his 108th anniversary, I  honor his profound contributions to Advaita Vedanta and his timeless wisdom that continues to guide seekers on the path to self-discovery. I am sure more of his creed keep coming over and over again.
